  6. Ah, jetzt kommt die Reaktion der deutschen Redaktion. Kann der guten Dame jemand kontra geben? Mein Schreib-Englisch ist ziemlich rostig, ich brauche vor allem viel zu lange dafür. Sowas blauäugiges habe ich ja schon lange nicht mehr gelesen. Die gehen dem Bertl voll auf den Leim.

    Die Redaktion von scienceblogs.de hält ihre Leserschaft also für so blöde, sich von jemandem, der nach eigener Aussage ein Hühnchen mit B. Ehgartner zu rupfen hat, zu einem Feldzug anstacheln zu lassen. Und damit offenbar für zu doof zum selber Lesen. Great.

    actually Bert Ehgartner is an Austrian. We know him for some years, at least since 2001.

    During this time he spread wrong and false news about viruses and other medical topics.

    During this time he attacked people AD HOMINEM.

    He is responsible for the outrageous attacks against (in chronological order)
    – Renate Ratlos (netizen for children’s rights)
    – ama (net ghost)
    – Ralf Behrmann, a pediatrician (Frankfurt, Germany
    – Wolfgang Maurer, a vaccination expert (Vienna, Austria)
    and many others I forgot the names of.

    Mark it: It is not a personal affair! The key is defamation of science in general and of scientific medicine in special. There is no excuse for knowingly indoctrinating with false information which can lead to the death of children. And THIS is exactly what Ehgartner does.

    Ehgartner has no place in journalism.

    This is DIRECTLY at Jessica who seems to be some kind of supervisor at scienceblogs.

    To make it absolutely clear, (and be sure I am damned tough about that!):

    Bert Ehgartner ran a forum called surfmed.at

    His and your claims about serious journalism are wrong.

    Bert Ehgartner back in 2001 (and from then on without any change) propagated insane ideas. It is the ideas we attacked. But Bert Ehgartner chose to defame us or to support others who did so.

    Now you, Jessica, seem to show some kind of paranoia.

    No, this is NOT personal affairs, we are deeply in a matter of responsibility for the lives of people. Responsibility can only be based on proven science. But Ehgartner does not care about science. He is attacking other persons AD HOMINEM. And – as I wrote – he does that since 2001.

    And, to make clear one point more: It is not only Ehgartner, who is wrongly supported by scienceblogs.

    I wonder if you will stand against a whole troup of scientists (who even do not know each other) – and each of them tells you and the owners of scienceblogs, that scienceblogs messes up.

    The arrogance of the scienceblogs team stinks.

    Scienceblogs is a commercial company. It uses and abuses the gratis work of many people – and sells advertisements in it. Scienceblogs does not do something of its own. Scienceblogs uses other people’s work.

    The very same situation is with scientific print publishers. But we put an end to their arrogance: PLoS shows the way.

    Each of us can start his own weblog on his own webspace, totally undisturbed by any "editor", admin, or other nuisance. And many have…
